Overture Life, then usually referred to simply as 'Overture' and led by CEO Martin Varsavsky with co-founder Santiago Munne, closed a $20M Series A with Khosla Ventures, Rakuten Capital, Felicis Ventures, Allen & Company and the Wojcicki sisters (Anne and Susan); no single lead was named in the coverage. The money funded development of its robotic embryology devices for automated egg vitrification, then targeted for launch in late 2020. Some databases date this round to December 2018, when it was reportedly signed, but it was announced publicly in July 2019.
