Denarius's first publicly announced round: €3M, presented as the largest seed round raised by a Spanish fintech, to launch Spain's first neobank specialised in the healthcare sector (dentists, pharmacists, doctors, vets and clinics). No lead investor was named — backers were dentists, entrepreneurs, executives and former bankers investing directly; the founding team is CEO Álvaro Sánchez and executive adviser Orestis Vílchez (both ex-Deloitte) with board secretary Francisco Sánchez. This €3M was the first of the two private rounds that together took the company to €7M by the end of January 2025, the figure later counted as the first part of its €18.2M Series A.
