Shortly after being spun out of ICIQ in July 2022 and completing The Collider acceleration programme at Mobile World Capital Barcelona, Jolt closed a first investment round of €450K from an Australian venture capital firm and Chilean business angels to fund industrialisation; later coverage refers to this initial backer as NET. Only the month of the Catalan press report (August 2022) is known, not an exact announcement day, and a September 2023 profile put the initial investment at €400K.
