Shortly after spinning out of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC announced the spin-off on 16 October 2024), Galtea raised close to €750K (about $870K) in pre-seed funding from JME Ventures, Wayra, ABAC Nest Ventures and Masia; no lead was disclosed. Most coverage dates the round only to 2024 and the deal tracker Nordic9 records it as 26 October 2024, so the month is approximate; ABAC Nest later described the investment as roughly a year before the March 2026 seed.
