Bamboo Energy — Seed · €375K

Bamboo Energy, an IREC spin-off founded in Barcelona in 2020, closed a €375,000 seed round jointly subscribed by Spain's state energy agency IDAE and EIT InnoEnergy to scale its AI-based SaaS platform for demand-flexibility aggregation; no lead investor was named (EIT InnoEnergy's own release described its share as part of a ~€350,000 investment round). The company separately received non-round public support that is not counted here, including a NEOTEC grant, CDTI aid and ACCIO Startup Capital funding, and by 2025 said it had passed €5.8M in combined public and private investment; a further round was reported as being prepared for Q1 2026 but no closing has been announced.
