InnoEnergy is a European clean technology innovation and investment organization, initiated in 2010 by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), that invests in and de-risks early-stage cleantech startups across the energy value chain (batteries, hydrogen, energy storage, heat, industrial decarbonization). It has supported 540+ companies (160+ active portfolio companies, over 80% hardware businesses), helping them raise €35B+ in follow-on investment, and is often cited as the most active energy investor globally.
