FertigHy is a pan-European company producing low-carbon nitrogen fertilizers using renewable electricity and green hydrogen instead of natural gas. Founded in 2023 in Madrid as a joint venture of EIT InnoEnergy, RIC Energy, MAIRE, Siemens Financial Services, InVivo and HEINEKEN, it is building its first large-scale plants in Hauts-de-France, France and in Spain, targeting decarbonization of the European food value chain. As a corporate consortium rather than a founder-led startup, it has no individual founders; José Antonio de las Heras Alonso is CEO.
