JJolt Solutions
Jolt Solutions is a Barcelona-based deeptech company that manufactures high-performance activated electrodes using its patented SPARKFUZE™ solution-combustion coating process, which coats electrodes in under a minute with far less energy and a fraction of the usual platinum-group-metal loading. Its electrodes serve green hydrogen electrolysers (AWE and AEM), chlor-alkali and chlorination, electrowinning, water treatment and cathodic protection, and it runs a production plant in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat supplying industrial customers across Europe. Founded in 2022 as the largest spin-off of ICIQ (Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia), it raised a €6M Series A in June 2023 and a further €6M Series A+ in December 2025, and was selected by the European Innovation Council among Europe's ~120 most promising deeptech companies.
