OOrchestra Scientific
Orchestra Scientific is an ICIQ (Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia) spin-off based in Tarragona, Spain, that develops selective CO2 capture, separation and purification technology built on its patented TAMOF-1 metal-organic framework material, which adsorbs CO2 at ambient conditions with low-energy regeneration. It sells modular, portable pilot plants to wineries, meat processors, carbonated-beverage producers and biogas/biomethane upgraders, claiming operating costs below €40 per ton of CO2 processed. Founded in 2017 out of Prof. José Ramón Galán-Mascarós' group at ICIQ, it is a small team (~6-10 people) backed by EIT InnoEnergy and Fundación Repsol, and has run pilots at customers including the Familia Torres winery.
