Basquevolt develops solid-state, lithium-metal battery cells (e.g. its BQV400L) for electric vehicles, stationary energy storage, and portable devices. Spun out of the CIC energiGUNE research center in the Basque Country in 2022, it commercialized a composite polymer electrolyte built on over a decade of R&D, closed a ~€10M seed round backed by the Basque Government, Iberdrola, CIE Automotive, Enagás and EIT InnoEnergy, and has a joint development agreement with Renault's Ampere.
