Wallbox is a Barcelona-based smart EV charging and energy management company that designs, manufactures and sells home, business and public charging hardware and software, including the Pulsar, Commander, Quasar bidirectional and Supernova DC fast-charging lines. Founded in 2015 by two ex-Tesla/motorsport engineers, it scaled through VC rounds led by Iberdrola, Seaya, Cathay Innovation and WIND Ventures before going public on the NYSE (ticker WBX) via SPAC merger in October 2021; it operates in 40+ countries with offices in Barcelona, Madrid, Shanghai and San Francisco. The company is no longer a private startup and is working through a court-approved financial restructuring (approx. €169.6M of debt refinanced, approved by the Commercial Court of Barcelona in 2026) plus an NYSE listing-standards cure period.
