WWenea
Wenea is a Madrid-based operator of electric vehicle charging infrastructure. It deploys and runs fast and ultra-fast charging stations in urban areas and along highways, and offers charging services to EV drivers through its own platform. It operates more than 4,000 charging points across Spain and the United Kingdom, over 1,600 of them in its own network, and has more than 270,000 registered users. The company was founded in 2018 within the Diggia technology group by José Manuel Zorrilla and César González Otálora. It has funded its network largely through debt: a €50 million European Investment Bank loan in 2020 to deploy more than 470 charging stations, and €10 million in 2026 from Impact Bridge's IB Deuda Impacto España fund and the crowdfunding platform Fundeen.
