Barcelona-based EV charging company Wallbox announced a $45M strategic investment, of which $35M came from lead investor Generac Power Systems and $10M from existing shareholders, structured as a private placement of 36,334,277 Class A ordinary shares expected to close on 5 August 2024. Wallbox is NYSE-listed, so this is a strategic capital increase rather than a classic venture stage round; Generac's Paolo Campinoti joined the board.
