Soof is a Barcelona-based digital marketplace for residential and commercial solar photovoltaic installations. Property owners compare quotes from a network of vetted engineering firms free of charge, and Soof guides them through the whole process: financing options such as leasing, renting, PPAs and public subsidies, insurance, and installation. Founded in September 2021 by Ricard Canal and Pablo Marín, the company had signed up more than 40 partner engineering firms and handled over 450 quotes by mid-2022, and reported more than €1.5M in GMV in its first year. In 2022 it raised a seed round of about €500,000 backed by EIT InnoEnergy and Enion Venture Partners.
