Zeleros

Zeleros is a Valencia-based deeptech company founded in 2016 as a spin-off of the Universitat Politècnica de València, originally developing a European hyperloop system (vehicle-embedded propulsion and levitation for 1,000 km/h transport) before pivoting toward advanced electric mobility and electrification engineering for energy, aerospace, logistics, defence and marine. It raised over €15M from strategic and VC investors, including a €7M round in 2020 led by Altran, and its founders were named Forbes 30 Under 30. Zeleros entered voluntary insolvency (concurso de acreedores), was declared insolvent by Valencia Commercial Court No. 3 on 30 March 2026, and its productive unit and ~18 employees were acquired by Spanish tech group Amper for roughly €958,000 in May 2026; the company is therefore no longer an independent startup.
