Sadako Technologies

Sadako Technologies is a Spanish AI and robotics startup that builds computer-vision systems for the waste and recycling industry, enabling machines to identify and sort waste materials in real time inside treatment plants. Its technology underpins the Max-AI® autonomous quality-control waste sorter, and it participates in EU-funded projects such as RUBSEE, HR-Recycler and SOPHIA. Founded in 2012 and headquartered in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona) with roughly 15-30 employees, it has raised only modest early-stage funding (~$1.4M reported, last disclosed round 2017) and holds the European Commission's Seal of Excellence plus 'Innovative SME' status from the Spanish Ministry of Economy.
