Hysun
Hysun is a Madrid-based green hydrogen deeptech spun out as a joint venture between nanomaterials company NANOGAP and concentrated-solar engineering firm TEWER. Its "Hyloop" photo-thermo-catalytic process uses concentrated solar energy and water to produce 100% renewable hydrogen without relying on grid electricity or electrolysis, targeting production costs of $1-3/kg depending on plant size. In October 2025 it raised €3M led by Equinor Ventures and Axon Partners Group (NTV fund) with EIT InnoEnergy, to validate its prototype in a real environment at the Plataforma Solar de Almería; the team is still very small (roughly 2-10 employees) with a second site in A Coruña.
