NNanogap
Nanogap (legally NANOGAP SUB-NM-POWDER, S.A.) is a deeptech nanomaterials manufacturer founded in 2006 as a spin-off of the University of Santiago de Compostela, born out of the NANOMAG research group's patented discovery of atomic quantum clusters (AQCs). It produces sub-nanometre metal clusters and silver-based nanomaterials via controlled wet chemistry, selling into catalysis, energy/green hydrogen, electronics, printed/conductive inks, life sciences and automotive markets across Europe, the US and Japan, and claims to be the only company able to make AQCs at industrial scale. It is based in the Novo Milladoiro industrial park just outside Santiago de Compostela (with a US subsidiary, NANOGAP Inc.), holds a large patent portfolio (~14 patent families / 80+ patents cited in press) and has spun out ventures such as Arjuna Therapeutics and Hysun.
