'la Caixa' led a €2.2M round through its Caixa Innvierte Industria fund, managed by Caixa Capital Risc, with CDTI, Institut Català de Finances, Unirisco Galicia, Uninvest and Xesgalicia (via its i2C fund) also taking part. The money went into scaling silver nanofibres for touchscreens and atomic quantum clusters for conductive RFID inks. Earlier, in February 2012, Nanogap received a loan of about €1M from Xesgalicia's i2C venture fund; that was a public loan, not a round.
