Attypics Photonics

Attypics Photonics is a Valencia-based photonic integrated circuit (PIC) company spun out in April 2026 from the MICRONANOFABS-NTC singular scientific-technical infrastructure of the Universitat Politècnica de València, inheriting 15+ years of photonic chip fabrication expertise. It aims to become Spain's private 'lab-to-fab' leader in photonics, offering R&D, prototyping, integration and manufacturing of photonic chips (200mm/300mm wafers) for health, telecom, quantum computing, energy, defence and aerospace, with a plant in Paterna. Funded under the PERTE Chip programme via a €50M first-phase public-private co-investment (SETT 49% / Baladre Capital 51%) plus a planned €200M second phase, targeting 100 direct jobs initially and 300+ at full capacity.
