Bold, a Montmeló (Barcelona) battery maker founded in 2019 by former Formula 1 engineers, raised €2.3 million in seed funding co-led by industrialists David Vilanova (Tavil) and Josep Maria Tarragó (an early Wallbox investor), with other minority investors. The money goes to equipment and engineering hires for its high-density battery packs for aviation, automotive and stationary uses.
