BBold Valuable Technology
Bold Valuable Technology, operating as BOLD, is a Barcelona-based company that designs, makes and runs high-performance battery systems for defence and other mission-critical uses, as well as for motorsport. Its products are the modular BOLD HP battery system for defence vehicles, the ultra-high-power BOLD UHP system for motorsport and directed-energy uses, and ENERGY OS, an AI-powered operating system that gives electrified fleets telemetry and predictive maintenance. It also offers engineering and design services, and its customers include General Dynamics Land Systems, BAE Systems, Indra Group, Red Bull Advanced Technologies, Alpine F1 and IndyCar. Former Formula 1 battery engineer Bernat Carreras founded the company in Barcelona in 2019; it has a production plant in Montmeló and a subsidiary in Oxfordshire, UK, and raised a €2.3M seed round led by David Vilanova and Josep Maria Tarragó.
