Wegaw, which runs a dual Spanish-Swiss operation out of Málaga and Lausanne, raised $1.1 million (about €1 million) from BStartup (Banco Sabadell), Katapult VC, Great Stuff Ventures, Swiss business angels and a Seedrs crowdfunding tranche; no lead was named. Its DeFROST product combines satellite SAR and optical data with machine learning to forecast renewable electricity generation, and EU-Startups reported the same round describing the company as Swiss.
