Novameat, founded in 2018 by Giuseppe Scionti, closed a pre-Series A round of €5.27M (about $6M) led by Luxembourg-based Praesidium to scale its 3D-printing technology for plant-based whole cuts such as steak and tenderloin. The company said the process runs roughly 15 times faster than standard high-moisture extrusion and targets restaurants in 2022 and retail in 2023.
