H2SITE, a Bilbao-based spin-off of Tecnalia and Eindhoven University of Technology, raised a €12.5M Series A led by Bill Gates-backed Breakthrough Energy Ventures to scale its membrane reactor technology for on-site hydrogen production from ammonia and methanol and for separating hydrogen from natural gas grids. Its membrane production plant is in Loiu (Bizkaia).
