Preply, the online language-tutoring marketplace whose global headquarters and largest team are in Barcelona's 22@ district (it was originally founded in Ukraine), raised a $50M Series C led by Owl Ventures to expand in the US and Europe. Its platform connects more than 40,000 tutors teaching 50 languages to learners in 180 countries.
