Telefónica, through Telefónica Ventures, said at its Metaverse Day on 29 September 2022 that it had invested in the crypto exchange Bit2Me. As part of the deal, Telefónica's Tu.com shop will accept crypto payments. The amount was not disclosed, but La Información reported it at €20M–30M.
