Heuristik, a Basque healthtech founded in 2019 that combines fingerprint biometrics with AI to unequivocally identify and track patients across the care pathway, closed a €2.1M pre-seed round combining private investment with public grants/subsidies. No single lead was named — the round was backed by a consortium including SETT, Fundalogy, Lemon Ventures, Startupxplore and Venturade plus other health, tech and impact investors, and will fund certification and pilots in Europe, LATAM and the US, R&D on its biometric algorithms and HIS integrations, with a target of at least 10 hospitals in 2026.
