Heuristik is a Spanish deep-tech healthtech company that combines fingerprint biometrics with AI to identify and track patients in hospitals, pharma trials, nursing homes and funeral services, integrating with EHR systems. Its neural network reads fingerprints that are wet, dirty, wounded or bloodstained and matches them against millions of records in about three seconds, targeting the patient misidentification problem. It is headquartered in the Bilbao/Getxo area (Basque Country), is deployed in Spain, Portugal and Poland, closed a ~€2.1M pre-seed in Dec 2025/Jan 2026 backed by Spain's state investor SETT, and has passed through MIT, NVIDIA, GE Healthcare, MassChallenge and EIT Health programmes.
