Aortyx — Seed · €650K

Aortyx, a spin-off of IQS School of Engineering and Hospital Clínic de Barcelona that is developing an endovascular device to treat aortic dissections, closed a €650,000 capital increase led by Genesis Ventures, with 71 other investors taking part. The money pays for animal testing and for industrialising the device, with a market launch targeted for 2024. The round had already been reported briefly in late December 2019, but the official announcement came out on 5-6 March 2020.
