Caixa Capital Risc and CDTI (through its Innvierte Economía Sostenible vehicle) agreed with the shareholders of MealFood Europe to take a combined 40% stake, amount undisclosed. MealFood breeds and processes Tenebrio molitor insects for animal feed and pet food at its Doñinos de Salamanca plant, and will use the money to scale, automate and internationalise.
