Biohope — Venture Debt · €15M

Biohope signed a €15M venture debt agreement with the European Investment Bank under InvestEU, approved on 2023-10-10 and signed on 2023-12-20, part of a €34M project. It funds international expansion, the launch of Immunobiogram for kidney transplant and the pipeline for autoimmune diseases. Earlier funding was mainly non-dilutive: more than €7M in grants (H2020 SME Instrument, CDTI, CAM) plus ENISA loans. There was also a 2017 Capital Cell equity crowdfunding campaign aiming for €350K at a €8.2M pre-money valuation; it had passed €200K, but no close was ever reported, so it is left out.
