Idealista — Seed

The Basque savings bank BBK (Bilbao Bizkaia Kutxa, later Kutxabank) became Idealista's first institutional investor in summer 2000, shortly after the company was founded, alongside family-and-friends money. The amount is not disclosed and the exact month is not reported, so the date uses the year alone. Kutxabank kept the stake until Apax bought it in 2015; the later acquisitions by Apax (2015, about €226M for 82.6%), EQT (2020, €1.3bn) and Cinven (2024, €2.9bn) were buyouts of existing shares, not funding rounds.
