Seville-based Catalyxx, which uses patented catalytic technology to convert bioethanol into renewable chemicals (butanol, hexanol, octanol, decanol) and SAF feedstock, secured €3M from Axon Partners Group via its Axon Desarrollo Andalucía fund, backed by the EIB and the Regional Government of Andalusia. No venture stage was named; the company has raised over €18M in the preceding year from backers including Aether Chemical Investments and the EIC Accelerator, and separately obtained EIB pre-approval for a €37M loan for a French plant.
