Scytl closed a $104M round, which it called its pre-IPO round, in three tranches. Paul Allen's Vulcan Capital put in $40M, announced 7 Apr 2014 and reported as leading. SAP Ventures (now Sapphire Ventures) put in $20M, announced 9 Jul 2014. Vy Capital, Adams Street Partners and Industry Ventures put in a final $44M, announced 4 Aug 2014. The money was for R&D and acquisitions. Balderton, Nauta and Spinnaker Invest stayed on as shareholders.
