Plexigrid, the Gijón-based (with a Stockholm office) grid-software company spun out of the University of Oviedo, secured €6.5 million backing from the EIC Accelerator programme. The package is blended finance: roughly €2.5 million as a non-dilutive technology-development grant and about €4 million of equity from the EIC Fund, which the company said would be blended with external investors in an upcoming round; the money funds completion of its flexibility-orchestration engine for electricity distribution grids.
