Unusuals, founded in 2016, closed a €1M seed round co-led by Elewit (Redeia's technology venture arm) and CVC Terna Forward, the corporate venture vehicle of Italian grid operator Terna, with no single lead disclosed. The company applies computer vision and AI to detect anomalies in power lines and railway infrastructure and already supplies anomaly detection for Red Eléctrica's transmission network.
