Matteco — Series A · €15M

Matteco, a University of Valencia spin-off co-founded by Iker Marcaide that makes catalysts and electrodes for renewable hydrogen electrolysis, closed a €15M Series A backed by impact-focused family offices Grupo ASV (Spain), Napali (Chile) and Zubi (Spain), with no single lead named. The money funds a 10,000 sqm catalyst and electrode factory in Paterna (Valencia) targeting 1 GW of electrodes a year and headcount growth from 30 to 100 during 2025.
