Spain's state bank ICO, through its venture arm Axis, approved a €3.67 million investment in KD (formerly KDPOF), a Tres Cantos-based fabless semiconductor company specialising in high-speed optical communications for harsh environments such as automotive. KD is weighing the creation of its own assembly and test plant in Spain to accelerate industrialisation; no lead investor was stated beyond Axis.
