TAAV Biomanufacturing Solutions is a contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) in San Sebastián, Spain that produces neDNA™ (enzymatic, synthetic linear closed-ended DNA, formerly marketed as dbDNA), a fast alternative to plasmid DNA as critical starting material for AAV-based gene therapies. It was created around 2018-2019 as a joint venture between AskBio and UK-based Touchlight Genetics, whose amplification technology it licenses; AskBio took 100% ownership in early 2022, making TAAV a wholly owned subsidiary of AskBio and therefore of Bayer AG.
