VVIVEbiotech
VIVEbiotech is a GMP contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) focused exclusively on lentiviral vectors for cell and gene therapy, serving biotech and pharma clients developing ex vivo (e.g. CAR-T) and in vivo therapies. Founded in 2015 in Donostia-San Sebastián (Basque Country), it is one of the few European CDMOs dedicated solely to lentiviral vectors, has produced 150+ GMP batches, and has developed its own LENTISOMA non-integrative episomal replicative lentiviral vector technology. In December 2024 it received a growth equity investment from US life-sciences PE firm Ampersand Capital Partners to expand capacity, with Jon Alberdi becoming CEO and Stefan Beyer executive chairman; Patricio Massera was named President in July 2025.
