TTwin & Chic
Twin & Chic was a San Sebastián–based premium children's and baby fashion brand founded in 2018 that created the "Skin-Healthy Clothes" concept — dermo-healthy, sustainable garments developed with allergologists from Clínica Universidad de Navarra and textile chemists from the University of Santiago de Compostela, manufactured in Spain and Portugal on circular-economy principles. It raised roughly €1-2M across equity-crowdfunding rounds on La Bolsa Social (€156k in 2020, ~€600k in 2022) backed by Easo Ventures and BerriUp, and sold via El Corte Inglés, Zalando and multibrand retail in Spain, Portugal, Italy, the UK and Belgium. The company is defunct as an independent startup: Twin And Chic SL entered insolvency in late 2024, the San Sebastián commercial court approved liquidation in 2025, and the brand and assets were bought by Galician manufacturer Confecciones Maime, which relaunched the label with collections from January 2026.
