Hotta (formerly Therminer) is a Spanish climate-tech/energy startup that builds modular edge data centres which double as heating systems: servers are integrated into 'computational boilers' that recover up to ~96% of the energy consumed as hot water and heating for hotels, residential buildings, heated pools, sports centres and wellness facilities, sold as a zero-upfront-investment energy service. Founded in 2021 by two engineers who started in a garage in a Soria village, it is at Seed stage and has raised a strategic round from corporate and VC backers including Domusa Teknik, MONDRAGON, Fluidra Ventures, Faraday Venture Partners and Soria Emprende; it was named one of Spain's 'Top 101' most innovative companies and is part of Santander X 100. It has a Valencia presence via Startup Valencia/UPV programmes.
