Urban Roosters
Urban Roosters is a Spanish entertainment company that turned Spanish-language freestyle rap battles into a professional sport, best known for creating and operating the Freestyle Master Series (FMS) leagues in Spain, Argentina, Chile, Mexico, Peru, Colombia and an international edition, plus a competition platform, URTV streaming, live arena events, news site and merchandising. Founded as a project in 2012 and incorporated in 2015, it reached a Series A backed by specialised VC after a 2020 pre-Series A, having raised roughly €8M from funds and from angels including DAZN co-founders Andrew Croker and John Gleasure, Dorna's Manel Arroyo and Didac Lee. It is headquartered in Logroño (La Rioja).
