Polimerbio
Polimerbio is a Basque medtech/biotech company that researches, develops and manufactures bioabsorbable (biodegradable) medical devices based on polymeric biomaterials for soft-tissue applications — urology, nerve regeneration, cardiovascular, digestive and skin/cartilage. Founded in 2017 as a spin-off of the ZIBIO polymer biomaterials research group at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), linked to the POLYMAT centre, it is at an early/seed stage; its lead product is a biodegradable urethral tutor probe for urethral stricture. It is headquartered in the Miramón technology park in Donostia-San Sebastián (Gipuzkoa).
