BASE4 Biosciences is a Barcelona-based precision health company and spin-off of the Institut de Recerca Sant Pau, building a multi-omics platform that infers the functional health and biological age of 47+ tissues from a single blood sample. It combines transcriptomics, genomics and AI to analyse 15,000+ genes and 330 metabolic pathways, with sex-specific models trained on female biological data for women's health and preventive medicine. It raised a ~$1M pre-seed in April 2026 (Kfund, Itnig, Masia, Baobab Ventures) on top of €7M+ in research grants, is ENISA-certified, and operates between Barcelona and Riyadh.
