Lumiris (legally Lumiris Spectral Solutions SL) is a Barcelona-based medtech spin-off from the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) that combines hyperspectral imaging with AI to read the metabolic profile (NADH/FADH) of live embryos and oocytes non-invasively, helping IVF clinics select the embryo with the highest implantation potential. It is a deeptech healthtech/fertility company founded in 2023, based at Parc Científic de Barcelona, and has raised roughly €6M in total including ~€3M in non-dilutive public grants and a €1.5M round in 2024-2025 that combined private IVF-sector investors with a Capital Cell crowdfunding campaign.
