Kings League is a seven-a-side football competition built for the streaming era, where teams are owned and captained by streamers and content creators, matches use gamified rules (penalty shootout kick-offs, secret cards, wildcards) and are broadcast live on Twitch and YouTube. Founded in Barcelona by former FC Barcelona defender Gerard Piqué through his sports-and-media company Kosmos, it launched its first season in January 2023 and has expanded into Kings League Americas, Italy, MENA and the Queens League, plus the Kings World Cup. It raised $63M led by Alignment Growth in February 2026, bringing total funding to more than $160M, and is now led by CEO Djamel Agaoua (ex-NBA).
