Abastores is Spain's first online exchange (lonja online) for agricultural commodities, connecting farmers, cooperatives, warehouse operators, livestock producers and manufacturers to buy and sell cereals, oilseeds and other raw materials with real-time, transaction-based price data. Founded in 2019 in Turleque (Toledo) by Carlos García Santacruz and Rubén Orihuela, it works with 6,000+ farmers and 700+ market operators and mobilised around €30M in grain transactions in 2024 on roughly €1M of revenue. It is seed-stage, having raised ~€1M in total including a €750K round led by Encomenda with Rockstart and SODICAMAN, plus an earlier €340K round backed by ENISA and the Castilla-La Mancha Finance Institute.
