NNanological
Nanological is a Madrid-based deep-tech medical device company that develops rapid point-of-care diagnostics for sepsis. Its SOMIA platform combines optomechanical sensing with AI algorithms to identify pathogens directly from blood samples in under 30 minutes, without culturing or labelling. The company was founded in 2021 as a spin-off of the Institute of Materials Science of Madrid (ICMM-CSIC) and is based at the Madrid Scientific Park. In November 2023 it raised a €600,000 first round led by Clave Capital through its Clave Innohealth FCR fund. It has also received €325,000 in public funding from CDTI's NEOTEC 2022 programme and support from EU programmes including Women TechEU, and it has won the Health to Market prize.
